CAMERA INDEX

Zorki 4
This is the only vintage camera i have bought in a shop. I bought it NOS (New Old Stock) from Rugift and paid 22 dollars for it. The camera had some traces of storage, but was generally in very good condition when i received it. The Zorki cameras begun as copies of the early Leicas and this camera does remind you of an old Leica i guess. It also uses the same M39 screw mount as early Leicas which can make one of these cameras a cheap way to use old Leica lenses, or a cheap way to get lenses for an old Leica camera.

The Zorki 4 was made in 1,715,677 copies according to Camerapedia. So this is no unusual camera, though it's difficult to say how many copies are still in circulation or in working order. I haven't actually used my copy although it seems to be in perfect working order. Of course it's difficult to say if the rangefinder is correct before using the camera with film. I intend to try this camera out sometime in the future, so stay tuned.
