CAMERA INDEX Rolleicord IV My Rolleicord IV TLR was one of the first vintage cameras that i bought. I guess i was very lucky to find one that worked flawlessly and had no problems with the shutter, no fungus, clear lenses etc. Because when i bought it i did so cheap on an auction site, from a seller that gave no guarantees that the camera was in working condition. And for almost two years it didn't matter to me either because i didn't use the camera. But then suddenly i decided to give it a shot and i can say that this is still a very competent camera. I have since then had problems with the film getting stuck once, but i solved that in a dark room with a bit of tampering. Now it's back on track. Using the Rolleicord is a blast. Both because it's a really easy-to-use and high-quality camera, but also because of people's reactions. Everybody reacts to the Rolleicord and a lot of people might want to have a chat and a look. And of course it also takes beautiful and sharp photos with vivid colors. Having to use an external light meter is a bit of a hassle to modern photographers, but you get used to it. And if you set the camera properly your photos will be very well exposed. Focusing is easy with the big ground-glass-screen, at least as long as you have enough light. The only downside to this camera is that if it does break sometime in the future, repairing it will be expensive. Probably more so than i'd be willing to pay. Camera data
